Stats
Stats are core attributes that directly affect a character’s performance. They appear on gear, consumables, enchantments, and gems.

Talents
Talents define a character’s build and have a direct impact on performance in Mythic+ Dungeons. This section highlights the most popular Templar Protection Paladin class, specialization, hero, and PvP talents based on top player data from Season 2.
Talents are shown as heatmaps, where colors indicate frequency:
- Most used talents, strongly recommended!
- Frequently used talents, offer flexibility or suit personal preference.
- Rarely used talents, usually chosen to unlock deeper rows in the tree.
Best In Slot Gear
Gear refers to the items equipped in each slot. It provides most of a character’s stat bonuses and can come from the Great Vault, crafted gear, raids, dungeons, Delves, or PvP vendors.
Frequently equipped by top players, these items represent the current best-in-slot gear for Mythic+.

Embellishments
Embellishments are special effects tied to crafted items. Some are built into recipes, while others can be added using optional reagents.
Only two embellished items can be equipped at a time, so choosing the right effects is crucial. The following embellishments are most commonly used in top Protection Paladin builds for Mythic+.
Enchantments
Enchantments add effects to gear, including stat bonuses, damage or healing procs, and other enhancements. Most are created through Enchanting, while leg enchants are crafted by Leatherworkers.
These are the most used enchantments across each slot in Season 2 Mythic+ builds.

Gems
Gems provide bonus secondary stats and help fine-tune a character’s build. They are crafted through Jewelcrafting and socketed into gear.
Additional sockets can be added to Neck and Rings using the Magnificent Jeweler's Setting , or to other gear using a seasonal item typically sold by the Token of Merit vendor near the Great Vault.
Used to round out secondary stats, these gems are the most used in high-rated Mythic+.
Algari Diamond
Durable Information Securing Container
Durable Information Securing Container is a powerful belt introduced in Patch 11.1.7, obtained from Overcharged Delves. It features a unique effect that enhances character builds and can significantly impact performance in competitive content.
Races
Racial traits can affect performance in PvE, with their impact varying by class and game mode. While the differences may not be noticeable in most games, the right racial choice can provide a competitive edge.
These races are most often chosen for their edge in Mythic+ Dungeons.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to common questions about how this guide is built and how to interpret the data.
How is this Templar Protection Paladin Mythic+ guide created?
The guide is created by collecting live data from the 50 top-rated Templar Protection Paladins in Mythic+, using the Battle.net API . Their builds are then analyzed to identify the most used stats, talents, gear, and enhancements for Season 2.
How often is the information updated?
The data is refreshed every 8 hours.
Why is this called a guide?
It’s called a guide because it helps players make informed build decisions by showing what top players are using. While it doesn’t teach gameplay step by step, it serves as a reference for optimizing your setup.
Is this guide good for beginners?
Yes. It shows what top players are using, which can be useful for understanding current trends. However, it’s not a how-to guide.
Why is my character not listed in the top section?
Your character might not appear due to inactivity, not meeting the current rating threshold (which increases as the season progresses), frequent spec changes, or gear that doesn’t align with the PvE format.
